Just say no!
The moves to try and stop the EU passing a law to allow software patents are gaining pace. EcoBlogIT highlighted some issues with the use of existing patent systems when applied to software and ideas, but the setting up of a software patent system would make the situation worse by stifling innovation further. NoSoftwarePatents.com has all the cons covered. The Economist has published several articles recently on why the existing patent system is flawed.

America at 10mph
And you thought that Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman were daft (but amazingly well supported with cars, satellite 'phones, hotel reservations, tv crews etc. etc.)...This is a great 'photo of Josh Caldwell in Idaho during a leg of the journey across the US on his Segway. Why?
